Testimonial:

It's one of my favorite restaurants in Telluride -- so how did I get the name wrong? I blame the excellent margaritas, a wicked fall on Bushwhacker that soaked my notebook and the vagaries of Google. Whatever the excuse, I wrote Jody's Kitchen in my story when it was Las Montanas that wowed me with the killer fish tacos and the connoisseur tequilas. Sorry for the stupid mistake folks.

Alejandro Barreda Westphal, an internationally recognized Latin Chef from Queretaro, Mexico will become the Executive Chef of Las Montanas Unique Latin Cuisine.

The front half of Las Montanas will continue to serve its very popular cantina menu of tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and chimichangas as well as a full breakfast.  The back half of the restaurant (about 50 seats) will become Alejandro’s, and serve lunch and dinner with a personalized chef menu that will change weekly.  Additionally the restaurant will offer a Chef’s Table for a party of twelve where individualized service and dishes will be prepared exclusively by Alejandro.

“Alejandro is one of the best chefs in the world and capable of cooking anywhere in the U.S.”, said Fletcher McCusker, owner of Las Montanas. “We are thrilled that Alejandro has selected Las Montanas and Telluride to showcase his Latin Haute Cuisine!”
